What It's Really Like to Dread Mondays Every Week—and How I'm Starting to Change That Feeling anxious every Sunday night? You're not alone. Here's an honest look at what it’s like to dread Mondays, why it happens, and what you can do about it. What It's Really Like to Dread Mondays Every Week It starts on Sunday. That sinking feeling creeps in slowly—maybe in the afternoon, maybe earlier. You glance at the clock and realize the weekend is slipping through your fingers. Your chest tightens. Your mind starts racing. You think about your to-do list, the pointless meetings, the awkward silence in the office kitchen, or maybe the overbearing manager. You’re not relaxed anymore. You’re bracing for impact. That’s what it’s like to dread Mondays every week. It’s Not Laziness—It’s Misalignment It’s not about being lazy. I want to work. I want to contribute. I want to feel fulfilled. But when the job you go to every day feels meaningless, toxic, or draining, Mondays aren’t ju...

Why I’m Becoming a Christian: A Personal Journey Toward Faith, Grace, and Purpose

Why I’m Becoming a Christian: A Personal Journey Toward Faith, Grace, and Purpose For most of my life, I believed that if I was a decent person, worked hard, and treated people kindly, that was enough. I didn’t see the need for religion—especially not Christianity. It often seemed like a list of rules or a tradition some people inherited, not something relevant or transformative. But over time, something began to shift in me. Something Felt Missing Even when things looked good on the outside—relationships, goals, a sense of direction—there was a quiet emptiness underneath. I couldn’t quite explain it, but it was there. Like life was happening around me, but I wasn’t connected to the deeper meaning of it all. I started to ask questions: What’s the purpose of all this? Is there more than just living and dying? That search led me down a path I never expected—toward Christianity. Not the version I thought I knew, but the actual message of Jesus. What I Found in Christianity Surprised Me Wh...

The Childhood Promise

Image
The Childhood Promise  The Childhood Promise Ava and Liam met in Mrs. Carter’s second-grade classroom. She was the quiet girl who loved to draw horses; he was the boy who always had mud on his shoes and a crooked smile. One rainy recess, while the other kids played tag, Ava shared her crayons with Liam under the slide. That was the beginning. They grew up as best friends, trading lunch snacks, defending each other on the playground, and sharing dreams under the big oak tree behind the school. At age eight, with solemn expressions and ring pops on their fingers, they made a pact: “One day, when we’re big, let’s get married.” They even wrote their promises in wobbly handwriting on lined notebook paper, sealed with a heart and two smiley faces. But life, as it often does, had its own plans. After high school, Ava moved to New York to study art, and Liam joined his father’s construction company in their hometown. They lost touch, the way childhood friends sometimes do—quietly, a...

I Am Fearfully and Wonderfully Made: Embracing the Beauty of Our Unique Creation

Image
I Am Fearfully and Wonderfully Made: Embracing the Beauty of Our Unique Creation In a world that constantly tells us who we should be or how we should look, it’s easy to forget something truly powerful: we are fearfully and wonderfully made. These words, straight from Psalm 139:14, remind us that we are not a random collection of atoms, but rather, we are intricately designed with purpose, intention, and love. The very essence of who we are was formed with care, thought, and wisdom beyond our understanding. So often, we get caught in a cycle of comparison and self-doubt, trying to measure up to an ideal that feels just out of reach. We question our worth, our abilities, and sometimes even our place in this world . But what if we stopped for a moment and truly reflected on the truth of who we are? What if we saw ourselves through the lens of divine creation—fearfully and wonderfully made? To be "fearfully" made is not to evoke terror, but to reflect the awe and reverence ...
