How to Successfully Earn Money Online in Nigeria with Your Phone

Are you one of us people who enjoy visiting websites, social media and generally spending quality time online?

How would you like to make a few Naira or dollar from these activities especially while in Nigeria.

I have come to realize that it's actually possible to make money over the internet as a Nigerian, but I must admit that it is not as easy as many say. It requires a great deal, so here are ways to make your earning journey a bit more easier.

Tasks You can do online are:

  • Following social media accounts
  • Liking posts
  • Commenting on posts
  • Visiting websites
  • Watching videos
  • Downloading Apps

Of course, you can't perform any of the above if you do not have your own social media accounts such as Facebook, Twitter or X, Instagram, email, etc.  Ensure you have a jotter to write down your passwords and other important details.

What Do You Need?

1. Phone

Using a phone for online tasks means you can work or engage from almost anywhere — in bed, on a bus, at a cafĂ©, or during a commute. This flexibility is especially powerful for people who don’t have access to a computer or are always on the move.

You do not necessarily need a computer or laptop to make money online. With just a
good phone, you are good to start.

Advantages

  • Convenience: Quick access to the internet and apps without the need for a laptop.

  • Efficiency: Great for micro-tasks and time management (e.g., setting reminders, checking calendars).

  • Cost-effective: Phones are often more affordable than laptops and easier to maintain.

Limitations

  • Screen Size: Long-form writing, spreadsheets, or detailed design work may be harder to manage.

  • Typing Speed: Slower typing can hinder productivity for complex tasks.

  • Multitasking: Phones are less effective than desktops/laptops when managing many tabs or files at once.

  • Battery and Data Limits: High data consumption and quick battery drain can be challenges.

2. Internet Connection

If you are someone who finds it difficult to buy data , it will not be easy to earn money online. Because the tasks you will perform could include watching videos, installing Apps, signing up or even downloading. These are task that requires data and you must be at least willing to spend money for that. However, if you can get free Wifi, then you are very lucky.

3. Electricity

This one is huge. As an earner, powering your phone is paramount. I mean, how can you perform task if your phone is not charged.  Being around where you can get electricity and possibly getting a power bank can really help you on this journey.

4. Tutorials

Since you are new in this, I will say google everything. Whenever you are not clear on something, just type it in the search engine and you will get answers. Read blog posts and Videos.

5. Patience

You doing start earning thousands of Naira or Dollars in one day. It is a process. Some days your tasks won't be approved as quickly as you would like. Your tasks could even be rejected. Don't be mad at yourself. Just continue carrying out tasks everyday.

In conclusion, the desire to earn online especially as a Nigerian is both tedious and rewarding. Not only are you getting paid to do micro jobs but also learning from your experience.

There you have it.
